Non-Profit Social Media Campaign
My role in creating the social media for Save All Dogs Rescue was to create posts for their Instagram page. I was able to use their previous photos to create posts for their dogs and introduce the dogs up for adoption. I created event posters and my team created a new logo. Through the process, my team and I did a lot of research on the company and were able to successfully create a campaign for them.
They did not have a great social media presence, so my team decided that we needed to create more fun and bright designs for their company. These posts were so much fun to create!
Design Process
Research
For the research process, my team and I researched the company and looked through their social media and website. We also looked at competing rescue’s in that area. We then made sure we understood what should be posted on their platforms.
Create a brand board
A brand board was created to show the color pallette we would use in our designs as well as typefaces. My team member also redesigned a logo for the company that we would use in our designs.
Begin designing
The first social media posts that I created were the dog introductions. We introduced the dog with their name, breed, and age. We made it fun with the colors and icons. This showed people which dogs were available for adoption. My team members also created email blasts, motion design, and facebook posts.
The next instagram post I designed was the Easter Adoption Event. This was an adoption event at Save All Dogs Rescue that was held during easter weeks and you could adopt a puppy for less money. Along with the event poster, I created a post that celebrates National Dog Rescue Day. Photos from Save All Dogs Rescue’s website were used in these designs.
Create Instagram page
All of the instagram posts were then moved to the instagram page. I created the instagram page in Adobe Photoshop. Editing their profile photo and adding each post in a specific order, the instagram page was then finished.
